City AM homes in on The Indy over office move
LONDON - London's financial freesheet City AM has become embroiled in a spat concerning office space with INM's quality newspaper, The Independent.
City AM managing director Lawson Muncaster has hit out at The Independent for running a diary piece which he thinks "took undue pleasure" in highlighting City AM's enforced office move.
The business newspaper moved to new premises at Dowgate Hill last week because its old office at New London Bridge House is being flattened to make way for a new development.
"All papers have their problems, but spare a thought for City AM, the London freesheet..." began the report.
Unfortunate then, that The Independent has since been forced to rent office space of its own in Northcliffe House, home to The Daily Mail, to cut costs.
Muncaster said: "At least we have our own home, which is more than The Independent can now say for itself."
