Standard's ES magazine goes online

LONDON - The London Evening Standard is to make its glossy magazine, ES, available online for the first time.

The move marks a continued push by the paper to raise its digital offering.

Content from the magazine, which includes a mix of shopping, fashion, travel, food and parties, will be available at www.esmagazine.co.uk from Monday (December 1).

It will encompass highlights of the previous week's issue and a taster of the forthcoming issue.

ES, which is primarily distributed with Friday's issue of the newspaper, will today (Friday) publish a luxury issue.

Veronica Wadley, editor of the paper, said: "Bringing the magazine online strengthens the Evening Standard brand still further and offers advertisers an even greater choice of platforms through which to reach London's opinion formers."

The move follows the paper's move, in September this year, to rebrand Thisislondon.co.uk to Standard.co.uk as its main web offering for editorial content, with a focus on breaking news online.
